GALA OF MONACO RED CROSS, EMOTIONS UNDER THE STARS WITH JAMIE CULLUM

It was truly a special evening for the approximately 700 participants who, on Friday 16 July, gathered in the new Place of Casino and it was a privilege to be part of it. The Gala of the Monegasque Red Cross, organized by the Societé des Bains de Mer, took place outdoors and for the occasion the event became the first “Summer Concert”, starring the British artist Jamie Cullum.

Prince Albert II, president of the Monegasque Red Cross, arrived at 8.30 pm and with him were his sister, Princess Caroline of Hannover with the three children Casiraghi: Pierre accompanied by his wife Béatrice, Andrea with his wife Tatiana and Charlotte, but without her husband Dimitri Rassam. Also absent is the wife of the Sovereign, Princess Charlène, who is in South Africa. Present the brother of the Princess of Monaco, Gareth Wittstock with her consort.

At 10.30 pm Jamie Cullum took the stage, a magnificent performance in a night under the stars different from all those preceded by over a year and a half.

An event that honored the great work done by the Monegasque Red Cross, to which the proceeds from the gala are destined to support its humanitarian actions.

It was an honor, as well as a pleasure, meet again H.S.H. Prince Albert II on the occasion of World Earth Day, which was celebrated on 22 April 2021. An exclusive interview for Radio Monte Carlo and broadcast in Italy also from the national TV channel Canale 5 on April 21st, in the TG5 News in prime time.

It was the 71st Monaco Red Cross Gala on Friday 26 July in the Salle des Etoiles of the Sporting Monte Carlo, between waves composed of 25 thousand flowers in blue blue tones on the walls, to interpret the theme of the sea and the preservation of seabed.
It is the most important gala of the summer and allows the Principality’s Red Cross to receive funds and donations to finance humanitarian actions.

The hosts are Prince Albert II and his wife, Princess Charlene, wearing an emerald green dress.

There is also Shirley Bassey, in 1971 and 2000 she was the musical guest of the event. This year John Legend is the gala star.
Here comes the film producer Monika Bacardi who at the upcoming Venice Film Festival says she will present the new film with Johnny Depp. Also present were the jewelers Alberto and Gió Repossi, the designer Isabelle Kristensen with her daughter.
Marcello Lo Giudice is the Italian artist who created the work inspired by this year’s gala, which he called Rosso Vulcano.

After the traditional Tombola with valuable prizes, dinner is served: zucchini flower is Oscietre caviar, creamy gallinette with lime, zucchini freshness, thin rock fish jelly with saffran pistils. John Dory is stuffed artichoke ‘poivrade’, greek vegetables and olive oil. Angus beef is ribsteak, preserved tomatoes with basil, shredded truffle and parmesa, charon sauce with virgin oil. Dessert is Roussillon apricot, organic milk chocolate cake and vanilla marmelade, hazelnut biscuit.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene open the dances and just before midnight the sky lights up with fireworks.
It’s up to John Legend. He’s on stage, only voice and piano. Start with Best You Ever Had and say “Thank you for your support”. It enchants in Love Me Now, reinterprets Dancing in The Dark and Here Comes The Sun. All greatest hits, like the beautiful Ordinary People and the intense All of Me. Applause for the American artist awarded with an Emmy Award, 10 Grammys Award, a Golden Globe, a Tony Award and an Academy Award. The 71st Monaco Red Cross Gala welcomed about 900 people from all over the world.

Star Team and F1 Drivers, charity champions

In Monte Carlo show and 5 goals for the soccer match with Charles Leclerc and Prince Albert II

Five goals, sweat, commitment and spectacle offered by many champions, supported by the enthusiasm of the Monegasque public and beyond, who responded to the invitation to attend the traditional football challenge in the Monaco Grand Prix week. Many champions are on the field for the Star Team for The Children and the Formula 1 Drivers Team

The game was held on Tuesday 21 May at 7 pm which, in addition to entertaining players and fans in the stands, helps less fortunate children, given that the proceeds from the collection help finance projects in the world.

Just before the start, there was also a minute’s silence to remember Niki Lauda, three times F1 World Champion, who passed away on May 20, and Max Biaggi’s father.
The match was won by the Star Team 3 to 2.

MONET, RETURN TO THE RIVIERA

Great success for the inauguration of the MONET RETURN TO THE RIVIERA exhibition, held on Monday 29 April in Bordighera and Dolceacqua.

Many Italian authorities were present, the mayors Fulvio Gazzola (Dolceacqua) and Vittorio Ingenito (Bordighera), S.A.S. Prince Albert II, who lent one of the masterpieces, Patrick de Carolis director of the Marmottan Monet Museum in Paris with Marianne Mathieu, scientific director.

The exhibition dedicated to Claude Monet is an extraordinary event, scheduled from 30 April to 31 July 2019.
After 135 years from his stay, three paintings by the great French artist return to Bordighera and Dolceacqua in the place where they were made.

The “MONET, RETURN TO THE RIVIERA” project is made possible by the collaboration with the Musèe Marmottan Monet in Paris through the precious work of its director, Mme Marianne Mathieu, and by the availability of S.A.S. Prince Albert II of Monaco. Two of the three paintings on display come from the Musée Marmottan Monet, “Le Château de Dolceacqua” and “Vallée de Sasso, effet de soleil”. The third painting, “Monte Carlo vu de Roquebrune” comes from the Private Collection of S.A.S. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The three paintings, created during the artist’s stay on the Riviera, are exhibited in two locations: “Vallée de Sasso, effet de soleil” at Villa Regina Margherita in Bordighera which, for the occasion, reopens to the public with a dedicated path of great suggestion, while “Le Château de Dolceacqua” and “Monte Carlo vu de Roquebrune” are exhibited at the Doria Castle of Dolceacqua.

65th ROSE BALL WITH TRIBUTE TO KARL LAGERFELD

Princess Caroline of Hanover arrives at 20.30 with her brother Prince Albert II of Monaco. Then Charlotte, Pierre and Andrea Casiraghi, respectively with boyfriend Dimitri Rassam and wives Beatrice Borromeo and Tatiana from Santo Domingo. With them also Alexandra from Hanover.

Suggestive decorations, 45 themed illustrations and 14 thousand flowers that embellish the Salle des Etoiles and the entrance to Sporting Monte Carlo. Show with 65 artists, including musicians and dancers. among them Alessandro Astori & Portofino’s, the crooner Roberto Colletta and the female trio Les Bouches Rouges.

It is Saturday 30 March and it is a beautiful spring night with a dip in the 1950s that was successful and which amused everyone, even and especially the younger generations. A wonderful journey into Dolce Vita and music. The “Riviera” Rose Ball paid homage to the unforgettable Karl Lagerfeld.
